Wine of the Week: Ferrari Trento Miami Grand Prix F1 Limited Edition Blanc de Blancs

Ferrari Trento is a wine sponsor for the Miami Grand Prix

An Italian sparkling wine with very special packaging made just for the Miami Grand Prix.

The big race is here! Unless you’ve been hiding under a wine barrel, you know the Miami Grand Prix happens this weekend. Formula 1 is hitting the track in Miami Gardens at the Miami International Autodrome. It’s the first time the race has been held in the Magic City (or thereabouts).

Ferrari Trento Italian sparkling wine is the official toast of F1, and the official wine of celebration for the race. Meaning, expect to see a lot of these bubbles around town this weekend, including sprayed on the winner’s podium. Though, Camilla Lunelli, Co-Owner of Ferrari Trento, assured us that the drivers will wait until finishing the race before consuming any of the wine. Safety first!

The partnership between Ferrari Trento and Formula 1 has been around for three years. However, Ferrari has been making wines in the Trentodoc region of Italy for more than 100. Formula 1 chose this winery as a partner due to their extensive experience making Italian sparkling wines of quality and elegance. A perfect companion to internationally celebrated high-speed racing.

Any exciting event needs an exciting sparkling wine, and racing is no exception. The beautifully created packaging for this limited edition Ferrari bottle includes a signature label with the design of the Miami Grand Prix circuit and an attractive gift box.

The wine is a Blanc de Blancs, made with mountainside Chardonnay from the Trentino region. Ferrari has produced a special cuvée with a robust roundness and creamy texture by using the traditional method of sparkling wine production and lees aging for 38 months. The quality of cooler climate Chardonnay keeps the wine fresh, with citrus flavors and crisp acidity. Expect to also enjoy distinct minerality along with subtle notes of hazelnut, adding deep complexity to this Blanc de Blancs.

Look for the special Miami Grand Prix Limited Edition bottle of Blanc de Blancs at retailers like Total Wine. The bottle retails for about $35.

Wine By the Bay is selling the 3L podium edition of the Ferrari F1 bottle for $449. Only 12 bottles are available for purchase.
