The authentic Italian Food & Wine Festival, Weds June 1st @ Sacred Space, Edgewater

Hosted by Italy America Chamber of Commerce (IACC)

  • Trade event: 3-6pm. Industry talks, executive wine tasting, festival opening ceremony. Free registration.
  • Consumer event: Guest will be able to enjoy live music, while tasting the best selection of genuine Italian pasta, cheese, cold cuts, pizza, gelato, wine and cocktails. Tickets $32.

Trip around Europe: Weds 8th June, 7pm @ Flight Wine Lounge

Meet Dominik Huber of Terroir al Limit: 6.30-8pm, Thurs June 9th @ Vinonueva

Priorat winemaking legend Dominik Huber will be showing his wines, which prove elegance is possible in warm Priorat, over at Vinonueva in June. Update: This is a sit-down tasting event. Tickets $150 + tax.

Live webinar: Terroir Matters? Rosé presented by Florida Wine Academy: Thurs June 9th @ 6-7pm

Argentina Beyond Malbec: Weds June 15th, 7pm @ Vinya Key Biscayne

Explore the hidden gems of Argentina. From the sky-high vineyards of Salta, to the limestone pockets of Mendoza, to the quiet glaciers of Patagonia, you’ll discover why you should be drinking Argentina, beyond Malbec! This is an educational-forward, interactive, and fun tasting led by expert sommelier, Allegra Angelo. (We see that a wine from Domaine Nico, who produces one of our previous wines of the week, is featured.)

LGBTQ Mixer: Thurs 16th @ 5-8pm, Flight Wine Lounge

Flight Wine Lounge hosts a monthly LGBTQ mixer. It’s open to all, with no cover fee. Celebrate Pride Month!

Wine Spectator’s Grand Tour: 6/7-10pm @ Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Hollywood

Taste from 200+ different wines, all rated 90 points or higher by Wine Spectator’s editors. Meet the winemakers, enjoy a delicious selection of food and take home a souvenir Riedel wine glass. All included in your ticket price.

Winemaker Dinner with Rodrigo Hernandez: Tues 21st June, 6.30pm @ Fontana (Biltmore Hotel), Coral Gables

Transport yourself to Chile and imagine you are sitting at the along the south bank of the Maipo River in central Chile appreciating the Andean landscape. Chef Vladimir Blanes creates a unique menu that pairs perfectly with and complements the experience, quality and tradition of wines from the legacy of the Hernandez, Family Winery a four generation family business. Bodegas Portal del Alto (Portal Wines) continues this legacy under the leadership of Rodrigo Hernandez.

Modern Calligraphy for Beginners: Tuesday 21st June, 6-7.30pm @ Margot Natural Wine Bar

Join Sip & Script for an introduction to modern calligraphy with a pointed dip pen and ink. You will cover all the basics and get you ready to add those special lettered details to your snail mail, wedding paper goods, home decor and more! 

This class is intended for beginners. It includes 1.5 hours of instruction and demonstration, a beginner’s calligraphy kit (two nibs, black ink pot, 2 letter guides, tracing paper and straight pen holder), and all materials to write on. Everything is yours to keep at the end of the night.

Tickets $65 – includes supplies and your first drink.

Bordeaux Feast: Tuesday 21st June, 7pm @ Vinya Table, Coral Gables

Join Vinya for a special Tuesday evening on June 21st to celebrate the soon-to-be legendary 2018 vintage in Bordeaux. You’ll enjoy four Bistro-inspired courses prepared by Executive Chef Cesar Ramos, paired with six wines, and a surprise, library wine.

Summer of Rosé Dinner: Wednesday 22nd June, 7pm @ Fiola, Coral Gables

Fiola Miami’s monthly wine dinner series continues as they raise their glasses to Rosé. Join Fiola Wednesday, June 22nd at 7 p.m. for their “Summer of Rosé” event featuring a five-course tasting menu paired with pink wines with diverse styles and flavor profiles. Space is limited.
