Sip and Cinema – Viewing of Living Wine. Tuesday 9th Aug, 6pm @ Savor Cinema, Fort Lauderdale

Small Wine Shop is thrilled to be partnering with the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival to share this very special film with all of you: “When we get excited about winemakers and natural wine these are the stories we want to tell you. The stories of the struggles, the passion and the drive to make wines that are ALIVE!”

Living Wine follows the journeys of natural winemakers in Northern California, during the largest wildfire season on record.

Equal parts farmer, winemaker, and artist, they stay true to their ideals of creating exceptional wines made through innovative sustainable and regenerative farming and without chemical additives. Eschewing the industrial agricultural practices of the corporate wine industry – our winemakers are healing the very environment they are surviving, i.e., a changing climate marked by rising temperatures, shorter growing seasons, and more frequent and virulent wildfires.

  • 6pm:  Wine Tasting Reception:
The wine tasting will highlight some of the winemakers in the film. Enjoy wines from Margins Wines, Florez Wines and La Onda.
  • 7pm:  Film with post film discussion led by Timothy Graham, owner of Small Wine Shop and Hayley Green Manageing Partner of Alchemy of the Spirit, about natural and low intervention winemaking.
  • After the film:  The discussion will continue in the John Mager Courtyard with one final tasting for the evening.
