South America Wine Festival with Amanda Barnes

We are so lucky to have South America wine expert Amanda Barnes joining us in Miami this November. What’s more, we are hosting a fun evening of wine tasting, asado and music at Ruka Winewood (Wynwood) with her. Your ticket price includes wine tasting flights featuring cutting-edge producers from Argentina, Chile and Uruguay – and Amanda will be on hand to share knowledge and bring them to life. Explore the exciting world of South American wine in an evening of music, asado, and vino!

This will be an unmissable event for wine lovers, with South American wine expert Amanda Barnes showing some of the most exciting wines, regions and producers of Argentina, Chile and Uruguay in this evening tasting.

Wine tasting: 7pm-9pm

Tickets $45/pp

Your ticket includes all the wine from the evening and live entertainment. A food truck will also be on hand, with the asado blazing and delicious bites available for purchase.

Hosted at Ruka Winewood in collaboration with Wine Guide Miami, Amanda will share wines from 12 leading wineries in Argentina, Chile and Uruguay. These will be presented in flights – included in your ticket price – for you to enjoy.

Amanda will be available to present interactive mini-masterclasses with tempting wine flights, so that you can learn about the rapidly evolving wine scene in South America.

Ruka Winewood will be open until 12am. Additional wines will be available for purchase at the bar after the South America event has concluded at 9PM.

VIP Hour: 6pm-7pm

Tickets $85/pp

Join us for a special VIP hour, serving some exclusive and iconic wines from South America in an intimate tasting hosted by Amanda.

Each VIP ticket also includes a signed copy of her award-winning book, The South America Wine Guide (retail value $54.99), as well as entrance to the full wine tasting from 7-9pm.

About Amanda Barnes

Amanda has been based in Mendoza since 2009 and is one of the leading specialists on the wines of South America. Jancis Robinson described Amanda as “a fount of knowledge on South American wine,” and her book as the “most comprehensive work on South American wine ever published.” Using her experience, Amanda has chosen wines for this tasting that showcase the diversity of the continent.

The South America Wine Guide was awarded the John Avery Award at the André Simon Awards, the Fortnum & Mason Best Debut Drink Book Award and Gourmand Best World Wine Book earlier this year, and she has been shortlisted as The IWSC’s Wine Communicator of the Year.
