Want to taste wine like an expert?

Join WGM’s very own Sarah Phillips at Ruka Wine Bar in Wynwood for a fun introduction to the world of wine tasting.

This masterclass is ideal for anyone who loves wine and wants to get to know their palate better. You’ll taste six very different wines and learn about what makes each of them unique, and how to describe them.

We’ll be outside in the hidden garden at Ruka Wine Bar in Wynwood. You’re welcome to stay after for Happy Hour & DJ at Ruka.

Please arrive at 6.30pm, and reserve your spot in advance!

Ticket ($40) includes:

• Tasting of six wines in an informal masterclass format

Fine Italian Wine Tasting With Dominic Nocerino @ Happy Wine in Coconut Grove

Join us at Happy Wine in the Grove and Dominic Nocerino; owner of Italian wine importer and distributor Vinifera Imports, alongside Gian Carlo Russo, for a tasting of premium Italian wines followed by a four-course dinner. It will be a great opportunity to taste over 15 fine Italian wines.

Space is limited so be sure to secure your spot. Cost – $165.00 for sit-down formal tasting and dinner (includes tax and gratuity).

All Access: Extreme Mediterranean @ Vinya, Key Biscayne

Join Vinya on Wednesday, January 18th, as you head way east to the extreme edges of the Mediterranean! You’ll explore the historical wine regions of Lebanon and Israel, tasting unique grapes and some familiar ones. This is an educational-forward (and fun!) tasting for the adventurous palate.

Walk-around Tasting with Nick Jackson MW @ 305 Wines in Palmetto Bay

You’re invited to join us for an informal walk-around tasting of delicious European wines imported by Nick Jackson MW as part of the Crescendo Wines portfolio. Nick will be pouring 20 wines from five different countries in Europe: Italy, France, Portugal, Germany and Austria. There will be a diverse range of sparkling, white, rosé and red available – ranging from expressive Champagne to perfumed Barolo! All of the wines will be available for purchase in store, or for delivery, at preferential prices. The open-house concept will run from 1-3:30pm. Please register in advance and join us for this very exciting event.

History in a Bottle: A Night in Sicily @ Fiola, Coral Gables

“Join us for beautifully crafted multi-course dinner from Fiola Miami paired with six legendary wines including Duca di Salaparuta’s flagship label, Duca Enrico, and an exclusive selection of traditional Marsala by Cantine Florio. Hear directly from winemaker, Roberto Magnisi, as he takes you on a journey through the island’s rich culture.”

Riedel Wine Glass Tasting Class @ 305 Wines in Palmetto Bay

We are very excited to partner with Riedel to offer our students and clients a special Riedel Wine Glass Tasting class, hosted by Florida Wine Academy and presented by Alessandra Esteves, DipWSET, Director of Wine Education. This will be a unique sensory experience of a comparative Riedel Wine Glass tasting. Ms. Esteves will guide you through an enjoyable and educational event, which will show the effect the shape and size of a glass has on our perception and enjoyment of wine. Participants will each take home a set of 4 Riedel Veloce glasses, valued at $160 (included in the price).

A Taste of Tuscany Wine Tasting @ 305 Wines in Palmetto Bay

Described as the heart and perhaps the soul of the country, central Italy is home to the idyllic Tuscany wine region. Tuscany is best known for its dry red wines based on the Sangiovese grape, which can produce delicate and herbal, as well as structured and age worthy, styles of wine. In this tasting we will explore not only the versatility of Sangiovese, but the diversity of what Tuscany as a whole has to offer. This includes refreshing whites, full-bodied reds that incorporate international grape varieties (Super-Tuscan), and amber-hued dessert wines (Vin Santo). Join us to taste a selection of wines from some excellent recent vintages, which showcase one of the most famous regions in Europe.
