Wine Tasting in the Garden: Austria 101 with Sarah @ RUKA, Wynwood

Austria: Castles, palaces, classical music – and some of the world’s most beautifully composed wines. We’ll be tasting six of them below palm trees in the Ruka garden. Join wine specialist, and Wine Guide Miami’s very own Sarah Phillips to explore wines of Austria in this fun and informative guided tasting.

Bubbles and Omakase @ Nossa Omakase, Miami Beach

Miami’s secretive and unique Japanese interpretation, Nossa Omakase is joining forces with the renowned Barons de Rothschild. On Thursday, April 13th wine and omakase lovers alike can rejoice for a one-night-only dinner at their intimate and polished sushi den. Special guests are invited to sip and savor an opulent 18 course menu paired with 4 different styles of the legendary champagne and wine. Chef/Owner Sebastian Labno will artfully create courses using seasonally available and rare fish flown in from the Japanese markets.

There is one seating at 7:30 PM priced at $465 per person, limited seats are available.

Meet the Winemaker: Sébastien Besson Tasting @ Small Wine Shop, Fort Lauderdale

“Description”We are thrilled to welcome winemaker Sébastien Besson to Small Wine Shop! We LOVE these wines. They invariably find their way to our Thanksgiving (and Christmas, and Easter or Passover and… ) tables. Sébastien Besson is the fourth generation to take the helm at Domaine du Penlois. His wines are pure, driven, and remarkable expressions of top Beaujolais and we can’t wait for you to taste them.

What to expect:

A super informative, informal tasting. Feel free to ask questions and chat with the Small Wine Shop team. You will taste through 6 different wines. Seating is not guaranteed but great wine and good conversation are! (Standing is good for the soul)

Franciacorta, Amarone and the wines of North -East Italy, an in-depth presentation @ Wine By the Bay

Join Italian Wine Ambassador and Italian wine educator Stefano Campanini for a thorough tasting of the wines of Franciacorta and Valpolicella, revealed through the wines of some of the best producers. 

We will chat about the history and the geology of one of the most famous wine regions in the world. 

After a welcoming aperitif with Franciacorta Ricci Curbastro Rose’ we will taste the most important wines of the region, Valpolicella, Breganze, Colli Euganei, with some rare wines dating back to the ’90s. We will finish with two spectacular bubbles, Bellavista La Scala and Ricci Curbarstro Gualberto 2013

“Join us on Wednesday, April 19th as we explore the history of biodynamic farming in France. From Alsace to the Loire Valley, to Burgundy and Bordeaux, we’ll taste through a flight of six wines that represent decades of discipline in the vineyard.  This is an educational-forward tasting for the adventurous palate, guided by expert sommelier, Allegra Angelo.”
