Top Wine Shops in Miami for Every Kind of Wine Lover

What kind of wine lover are you? We have a shop for that!

So, you’re looking to buy wine in Miami? It may be easy to run into the grocery store and grab your go-to label, but we have some better ideas for wine shops in Miami that will give you more options for top-quality bottles and rare finds. There’s a spot for every type of wine lover and tasting mood in the Magic City.

Here are a few of our suggestions.

NEW: The Allocation Room (Coconut Grove) – For the Fine Wine Lover Who Never Leaves the Grove

Grovites, rejoice! You don’t even need to get in your car to get a premium bottle here.

Brought to you by the culinary rockstars of Ariete Hospitality is The Allocation Room wine shop and NAVÉ Trattoria & Wine Bar, located right next to the old NAVÉ spot in the heart of Coconut Grove.

The Allocation Room is a concept by Ariete partner, expert sommelier, and beverage guru, Adrian Lopez. He has already wowed guests with his palate through his wine list at one of our Michelin Starred restaurants (Ariete), and he also oversees the programs for concepts under the Ariete umbrella (think The Gibson Room, Brasserie Laurel, etc..). Now, Adrian has brought his talents to retail, so discerning wine lovers can take home a bottle of wine or sake from his curated collection and enjoy.

Stop by The Allocation Room for a glass or bottle of wine and bites at the new NAVÉ Trattoria & Wine Bar!

The Allocation Room in Coconut Grove has a wide selection of wine and sake to fit any wine lover’s palate.

NEW: Maison Mura (Downtown) – For the Luxury Wine Lover

Sarah writes: Jeroboam of Dom Perignon? DRC on a Monday? You got it.

Maison Mura opened its shiny glass doors in December and quickly became the talk of Downtown Miami. It’s not hard to see why: The selection – and volume – of fine wine and spirits is eye-watering. As is the number of large format bottles (very Miami).

But it’s not all top-tier (or top price!) If you’re looking for options under $30, there are plenty. My own budget doesn’t stretch to DRC on a Monday (or ever), so I’ve been happy to find gems from places like the Rhone and Piedmont in the mid-$20s. They’ve all been delicious.

This is primarily a store, but it is possible to purchase bottles to drink in or hire the private events space for dinners/tastings.

And a tip: Keep an eye on the grower Champagne and White Burgundy selections. These two areas, in particular, are where the store shines at stocking under-the-radar producers that deliver quality well above their price point. Kudos.

Happy Wine (Calle Ocho) – For the Happy Wine Lover

Shop here for great bottles at great prices and delicious tapas, too.

Happy Wine is one little happy wine shop and bar! Do you love to listen to live music while you drink wine? Does your idea of a fun evening include Spanish tapas and paella? Happy Wine has it all, and all for a great price. Some of the best deals on wine bottles in town are at this unassuming shop on 8th Street just west of Coral Gables.

At Happy Wine, you can take your bottles to go or pay a small corkage fee to enjoy them on-site. Owners, JC and Joanna, are wonderful people who enjoy getting to know their customers and welcoming back regulars for another lively night of wine drinking. It’s hard to leave Happy Wine empty-handed, so get ready to fill up your wine bags with lots of great bottles.

Happy Wine is a place for happy wine lovers!

El Carajo (Shenandoah/Coconut Grove) – For the No-Frills Wine Lover

Shop here for last-minute exciting finds or stop in for a bite to eat.

Just off of 17th Avenue and US1 across from Coconut Grove is a Mobile gas station with a big secret. Inside this convenience store behind the gum, candy, and soda fridges is one of Miami’s best-kept wine surprises.

El Carajo is a wine bar and shop located inside a gas station off a major thoroughfare just between Brickell and Coconut Grove/Coral Gables. Don’t have time to stay for cheese and charcuterie or patatas bravas? That’s OK. You can grab a bottle from El Carajo’s extensive selection to go. Not just your average gas station wines, El Carajo has one of the best collections in the area. Sneak in and sneak out with a top bottle of Burgundy. It’s that easy to snag a bottle of fine wine while gassing up!

Sunset Corners (South Miami) – For the Everyday Wine Lover

Shop here for your everyday wine & spirits needs in South Miami.

Far from the glamour of “touristy” Miami, Sunset Corners is a South Miami staple and a perfect spot for exploring both exciting and everyday bottles. The store has a substantial selection of everything from economical favorites to high-scoring wines and harder-to-find labels.

The Sunset Corners property was originally purchased to be a package store in 1954, and in the 1960s became a wine shop that has been a local favorite ever since. At Sunset Corners, you can also find fresh cheese to pair with your wine, and other spirits and beer for entertaining. This place is truly a neighborhood one-stop shop for all of your wine night needs.

Vinya (Key Biscayne) – For the Key Biscayne Wine Lover

Shop here for top wine bottles from around the world.

Once you’re on Key Biscayne, it’s easy never to leave Key Biscayne. This island is paradise, and paradise wouldn’t be complete without a kick-ass wine shop and bar to enjoy hand-picked bottles from around the world. Vinya offers customers a curated experience depending on drinking desires with a selection of top wines chosen by their renowned in-house sommelier, Allegra Angelo.

Come for the wine, stay for a bite at the bar and $15 corkage for your bottle of choice, and even sign up for Vinya’s exclusive wine club. They deliver too! So, if you’re short on time and live in the Miami area, you can pick out a bottle (or more!) on the Vinya website and enjoy same-day delivery. Can’t beat that service!

Vinya also has a location in Coral Gables called Vinya Table, located on Miracle Mile in the heart of Downtown Coral Gables.

305Wines (Palmetto Bay) – For the “More than Just Wine” Lover

Shop here for a wide variety of prices and styles of premium wine & sake.

Did someone say sake? For one of Miami’s most comprehensive selections of fine wine and sake, you can’t miss 305Wines. The physical shop is located in Palmetto Bay, but 305Wines.com also has a robust online presence for local purchasing and even shipping out of state.

On top of their impressive selection of Barolo, Burgundy, Bordeaux, and beyond, 305Wines also has one of the largest sake selections in the southeastern U.S., as well as their very own Master Sake Sommelier. If you are still learning the difference between Junmai and Honjozo, 305Wines is the perfect place to taste and broaden your palate.

305Wines has a large selection of
premium wines & sake.

Paradis Books & Bread (North Miami) – For the Books, Bread, and Wine Lover

Shop here for a thought-provoking book and bottle to enjoy together.

Must love books, wine, & bread! But who doesn’t? Paradis Books & Bread is a natural wine shop, café, and bookstore located in North Miami. This spot is everything you want in a neighborhood hangout. The owners focus strictly on a curated natural wine selection in addition to their in-house sourdough and personally chosen book collection.

Paradis offers a coffee and café setting during the day and wine bar vibes at night. Stop by for a bottle and a book and enjoy both alongside their very own sourdough pizza or savory wine bar snacks. This is a North Miami spot to shop and spend time.

Paradis Books & Bread also features a
nice selection of natural wines.

Wine by the Bay (Little River) – For the Esoteric Wine Lover

Shop here for hard-to-find vintages and rare wines.

Stefano Campanini owns one of Miami’s most exclusive little wine shops in the most unassuming location. You may not expect to find a $5,000 bottle of vintage 1979 Champagne in a warehouse off the railroad tracks in Miami’s Little River neighborhood, but Wine by the Bay is exactly where you will discover some of the rarest bottles in town.

Stefano knows his stuff too. He is one of only a few of the world’s prestigious Vinitaly Italian Wine Ambassadors – a tough title to earn through rigorous study and testing at the Vinitaly International Academy in Verona. Wine By the Bay is your source for all things truly unique and one-of-a-kind when it comes to wine.

VinoNueva (MiMo) – For the European Wine Lover

Shop here for great European wines from leading producers.

VinoNueva is a new boutique wine shop located just off Miami’s Biscayne Boulevard in the historic MiMo district. Serious collectors will find plenty of great wines to get excited about here, but it also stocks an outstanding selection of bottles from leading producers for below $30. Emphasis is on quality European winemakers who make fresh, expressive wines.

At VinoNueva, you will find expert advice and a curated international selection that is just ripe to explore. Stop by for shopping or a specialty tasting Tuesday-Saturday.

Azul Spirits and Wine (South Beach) – For the South Beach Wine Lover

A great place to find good, honest wine on South Beach.

This friendly neighborhood wine store stocks a diverse range of delicious wines. These range from big names like Bordeaux’s Petrus to hidden gems like Verduno Pelaverga. Many of the wines found at Azul are made with responsible farming practices – such as organics or biodynamics – without being too funky or natural.

Fans of Port Tonic will also be pleased to hear that it is one of the few stores stocking White Port – a perfect poolside drink.
